#F3P2…Another Fucking Hashtag

There are a lot of people out there that do not understand the importance of hashtags. While they look annoying and take up incredibly too much space on posts, as people tag after tag, trying to attract attention to something theyΒ care about, but no one fucking else cares about (most of the time). However, they still serve a great purpose. They organize and connect people on a certain subject or topic, and they work especially well on Twitter and Instagram. That is the main purpose of a hashtag, to collect data in one place regarding a person, place or thing.

So I started thinking. No one ever hashtags #LivingByTheFWord, which is my slogan, it’s what I live by, it’s everything this blog is about. F-words. Frequent Flying, Festivals, Fashion, Food, Fitness, Film, Fun, Fucking-whatever! No one ever hashtags #PlanetPoots either, whomp, whomp. So I thought about doing something that people might be willing to hashtag, in order to interact and connect through my blog. It also might bring new readers to my blog as well, if people interact and use the hashtag, so… I’m excited! And if it doesn’t, well… it’s just another fucking hashtag then.

So without further ado, I’d like to introduce to you guys to, another fucking hashtag. It’s called #F3P2. Now what does this mean? Well first of all today is Friday December 16, 2016. It is the day that “Rouge One”, yet another Star Wars film has hit theaters. Everyone knows how much I geek out to Star Wars and I feel as though this hashtag is similar to a droid name, so it is a perfect day to release this hashtag to you. It almost seems like a combination of the two original droids seen carried through out all the episodes, R2D2 and C3Po. Basically if they had a baby it would sound like F3P2, well sorta. Now before I get off track and blast into space, let’s get back to what it means… #F3P2. It stands for “F” cubed and “P” squared. OK. So what does THAT mean? It essentially is short code. “F” cubed stands for “Fucking Finally Fridays.” Instead of hash tagging #FuckingFinallyFridays which is long and frowned upon on most socials, #F3 it is. Now what does the “P” squared stand for? PLANET POOTS, duh. So there you have it, you have #F3P2 which stands for “Fucking Finally Fridays with Planet Poots!”

Alright so? What does this really mean? What it means is every Friday (I’m hoping) to release content that I should have released fucking forever ago. That’s right, I am so extremely back logged, I literally have a bullet journal filled with blog post ideas, festivalsΒ and trips I’ve wanted to write about. I even have a ton of drafted blog post write ups stored here online. A whileΒ ago I wrote a blog post called “Catching Up with 3+ Years of Travel and Music Festivals”. It essentially was a list of things I wanted to write about but never got a chance to because I was too focused on designing my logo and designing the layout of my blog. Well that was written July 2015, about one and a half years ago. Do you know how much I have done in that year and a half since that post? A lot, a REAL LOT. Which means I have a lot more back dated, back logged posts to write. Now I have talked to many people about this. Is the content really important once so much time has passed since an event? Will people really want to read it? I’ve gotten a lot of people saying… people won’t. But here is the thing…I’m not a big outlet with generic information. I’m a small, personal, outlet that tells stories, MY stories. Does this mean people will want to read about a festival from 2013? Maybe not, but they might, just because they can connect with my style of writing, which is personal and raw experiences.

So I guess, what I’m saying is, this is a new experiment. The “3+ years” blog post was a public list of things I wanted to write about and get done, it didn’t really work, because as time passed I was doing more things with my time. I was crossing off more festivals, more cities, more everything. This might work though because I can now go at my own pace, and write about what I want to write about, and then release it on any given Friday. It gives both myself and my readers something to look forward to. FRIDAYS. We all know everyone loves Fridays, unless they are in the customer service industry, almost everyone on earth loves it when it’s Friday. It’s the weekend, they get to go home, they get to do whatever the fuck they want, and now they get to look forward to a blog post getting released from me, about something they might find interesting! They will know when to check the blog or look out for something on my social networks and have something to look forward to working on and hopefully completing each week. And the second part of this equation, the “Fucking Finally” doesn’t just imply to “Yay! It’s finally Friday!” It implies that I finally am writing about something I should have so long ago… “FUCKING FINALLY.” So I’m hoping this post explains my theory behind it all, and I hope it gets you guys involved and connected when you are reading new content for F3P2. I’ll also be hash tagging #F3Poots πŸ™‚

Get excited kids! Fridays just got THAT much better.

Much Love,

Poots
